Industrial Electrician (PLC&Robotics)
Stanford International College is now approved to start the new Industrial Electrician (PLC &Robotics) diploma program.
The Industrial Electrician (PLC& Robotics) Diploma program is designed to provide our students with the knowledge and tools required to work in the field of industrial automation and control. Supported by computers to interface with the systems and equipment, students are introduced to the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) of OMRON,Allen Bradley and SIEMENS programming systems, and Robotics hardware. Students will also learn electrical basics, applicable Electrical Codes and use Auto CAD to create electrical drawings. Upon graduation, the student will be able to read and create electrical drawings, design, install, and maintain electronic equipment used in modern industrial processes, and work on every type of programming system, from the simplest fuses and motors to sophisticated electronic computer interface boards, motor drives, programmable logic controllers, solid-state devices and robotics.
Industrial electricians install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls. Industrial electricians may also build, program, integrate, service, maintain and operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as well as service robotic equipment or related automated production systems. Graduates of the program may apply for positions as a:
Electrical Controls Technician
Industrial Electrician
Electrical Instrumentation Technician PLC Programmer
